YETI Acquisition May Water Down Mystery Ranch

Reading GearJunkie's article, "YETI Responds to Rumors of Mystery Ranch Phase-Out," has me thinking Mystery Ranch is going to get phased out just enough to make them irrelevant compared to their position before YETI acquired them. YETI seems to believe they can "YETIfy" Mystery Ranch and come out on top, a $36 million move they made this (2024) spring.

I am already looking for a new brand to carry. I am not a fan of most larger companies as they tend to lose focus and responsiveness too often. I am not going to wait around for Dana Gleason's next company he is going to start and eventually sell.

I wish there was a backpack/ruck company out there with the same philosophies as Saddleback Leather.

If you have any recommendations, I would be very interested in being convinced.
